About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Emergency Services to support drive the continued capability and technical excellence of our dedicated Emergency Services, Security and Emergency Response Teams.
This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to develop themselves further and add value to the operations through supporting the critical systems required to operate. The opportunity exists to work with varied teams to coordinate the management of learning and development outcomes and system qualifications. Working Monday to Friday roster and reporting to the Superintendent, Health & Safety, you will be responsible for delivery of:
- Strategic planning of resources to manage individual and business risk
- Ensure adherence to legislative obligations
- Manage performance and capability of Emergency Services Team
- Contractor management of external service provision
- Manage Emergency Service budgets in line with governance and value drivers
- Provide adequate resourcing and support to ensure compliance to training requirements for ESO and ERT team members
- Engage with contractor groups to ensure maintenance of safety standards
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A 'C' class driver’s license
- Previous Emergency Services or Response experience
- Experience managing and leading diverse teams
- Excellent understanding of the risk & emergency management processes
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft office packages
- Experience in governance of emergency management systems
- Tertiary qualification in related field
