About the Role
Working in our Fixed Plant Reliability team, you will manage the improvement and integration of our equipment performance and downtime accounting systems to maximise equipment productivity. You will develop and utilise bottleneck identification models to direct resource use while always maintaining a strong “safety first” mindset on decision making. Establishing and maintaining relationships with the maintenance and production teams will be critical to ensure success in this role.
Key equipment and infrastructure associated with this position includes an underground rail network with rolling stock, a gyratory crusher, feeders, conveyor belts, a hoist, pumps, air compressors, cement aggregate fill plant and raise bore fans.
In this role you will:
- Integrate performance and downtime accounting systems to maximise data capture quality and quantity
- Advocate for improvements to downtime accounting systems to improve capability
- Conduct bottleneck analyses and identify system improvements
- Coach team members on best practice data capturing to ensure quality
- Conduct investigations on issues affecting productivity of equipment
- Build business cases for capital improvement works
- Analyse performance metrics and benchmarks performance across the function in other BHP businesses
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering preferred
- Experience in a mining/manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in control systems/PLC coding
- Experience working with data models/historians including data quality management
- Experience with statistical analysis preferred
- Exposure to SAP advantageous
- Ability to define and manage projects from conception to completion
- Ability to manage and lead change
- Ability to influence, engage with, and communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units and functional areas
- Ability to develop credibility across multiple levels and stakeholder groups
- Inclusive team player that is proactive, self-driven, and accountable
