About the Role
As part of the BMA Asset Engineering and Technical Department, we are seeking a Mechanical or Structural Engineer to join the Dragline & Shovels team. This role will see you provide engineering technical support across BMA’s Dragline & Shovel fleet and manage delivery of key scope items for the Major Shutdowns. The role is Brisbane based with regular travel to the Bowen Basin, working a Monday to Friday Roster. Key responsibilities include:

Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Working with the Principal Engineer, provide technical support on Draglines and Shovels to execution and operational teams.

Support risk management activities and management of change to ensure standardised approach incorporating key engineering inputs.

Support the development of Major Shutdown scopes through obtaining information on asset condition health and stakeholder requirements.

Manage projects such as large component fabrication scoping, design and delivery to the shutdown execution team.

Develop and maintain BMA standards and specification relating to Draglines and Shovels.

About You
You will have strong stakeholder engagement, influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and disciplines. You will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering related discipline.

Previous Small Project Management experience is preferred but not essential.

Previous operational Dragline or Shovel experience is preferred but not essential.
