About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and high performing Specialist Engineer Production to join our Mine Engineering team within Technical Services, working within a highly experienced team, with the support of industry leading systems and processes.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on an 8 and 6 roster with flexible working arrangements which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Superintendent Operational Planning, you will:
Drive operational performance through data insights and leading practice initiatives
Develop, implement and maintain standardised tools for improvement, benchmarking and baselining for production
What you’ll bring
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
Provide robust and aligned data insights to leadership that help inform and drive decision making on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
Influence and drive the delivery of the quarterly forecast, weekly and daily scheduling
Delivers important plans for execution and own the development of the productivity improvement plan
Analyse given parameters and design uplift initiatives to deliver baseline and beyond
Generate 90-day plans for improvement of key drill, blast, load and haul parameters
Review trends (monthly & quarterly) and identify key opportunities to target
Reconciliation of daily, weekly and quarterly forecast
Confirmation of daily, weekly and monthly metrics, including flyover data
Benchmark operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement
Strong understanding of the fundamental concepts that underpin value in the mining industry
High degree of computer literacy, including knowledge of mine planning/design software (Vulcan/Deswik/Datamine, Whittle).
Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
A current C Class driver’s licence is required
