You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on a Monday to Friday Perth based roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Principal Civil/Structural Engineer – Maintenance Planning and Engineering, you will:

  • Develop and maintain technical structural engineering standards
  • Assist site personnel with investigation into issues of a structural nature
  • Provide technical assurance to studies, sustaining capital and project teams
  • Provide SME support for regional and site teams.
  • Reduce business risk though technical and strategic support of structural integrity program.
  • Develop and maintain structural asset WOL plans, strategy level tactics as well as informing long term capital plans
  • Support remediation work through prioritisation, technical support and articulation of risk

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) with extensive experience in the design and of structures in the resources sector
  • Structural analysis experience
  • Strong asset management foundation and whole of life strategic capability
  • Excellent communication skills with effective stakeholder management

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • A thorough understanding of the drivers and motivators that exist throughout Iron Ore
  • Ability to influence others to continue to reduce the business risk associated with the deterioration of structures

Where you’ll be working

This is a Perth based role working out from our Perth Operations Centre.

In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.

We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
