About the Role
As a Specialist Engineering Information Management (EIM) Operations, your key focus is to improve the use and maximise the value of our engineering drawings, models, data, and information across operations and functions. Reporting to Manager Engineering Information Management, your accountabilities will include:
- Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders (including maintenance, operations, reliability and safety personnel) to identify and prioritise practical opportunities to make better use of our existing document centric blueprint (e.g. to improve engineering information required for material risk management, Process Safety and Asset Integrity to better support these objectives or to improve engineering information referenced in SAP and used by operations).
- Work closely with Asset teams to scope and plan the remediation of the prioritised improvement opportunities for engineering information (e.g. missing, incomplete or wrongly classified documents, drawings, data, models or tags) to better support operations’ safety and productivity objectives.
- Execute the opportunities in conjunction with stakeholders and solve any issues/challenges.
- Find and measure the tangible value that the accurate blueprint will bring for our stakeholders.
- Knows our EIM customers, build strong relationships and be obsessed with meeting their needs in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Support the activities of the EIM strategy and initiative as required.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in the use of engineering and technical information in operations and maintenance.
- On-site operational experience with an understanding of the process & plant and the maintenance and operation of these facilities.
- Deep knowledge of operational systems (e.g. SAP, PI, APMs, SPO).
- Systematic/methodical approach to problem solving.
- Engineering degree qualification (or equivalent).
- Certification and experience in industry recognized improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and/or Lean will be beneficial.
- Knowledge and understanding of operational systems and processes used for managing engineering information in an effective and efficient manner.
- Understanding of the operating model and interaction between the processes, systems and people of Projects, Engineering and Operations.
- Experience in developing, validating, and handing-over engineering drawings, documents, and data from EPCs to Operations.
Location and Roster
This role would preferably be based in our corporate office in Perth. However, Brisbane or Adelaide would also be considered for the right candidate. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster, while flexible work is also offered. Up to 50% site travel may be required for this role.
