About the Role

BHP is seeking a talented and motivated Specialist Engineering Information Systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring integrity and consistency of the engineering information across multiple assets within Copper SA.

In this role you will:

  • Have a safety mindset around personal safety (both mental and physical)
  • Maintain and improve the integrity of Copper SA blueprint 
  • Assist implementation of projects by assigning new project numbers, tag number and document numbers, and controlling ownership of new drawing revisions. 
  • Use, store, classify, assess, and process data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance
  • Manage new and existing sets of master data, run and cleanse reports to remove errors and improve the quality of master data across BHP
  • Execute and follow relevant Management of Change procedures to assist in changing impacted governance/assurance related processes, technology, solutions, etc.
  • Provide feedback and training on Engineering Information Management processes and systems to internal customers.
  • Work with a clear view of customer needs, measuring success through stretch goals and metrics
  • Adapt plans to changing conditions and context, identifying, and sharing new risks and opportunities with the team
  • Seek to understand strengths and development areas and identify a variety of strategies/learning approaches to continually build capability

About You

  • Experience in Engineering Information management
  • Proficiency in Smart Plant for Operations, MicroStation
  • Experience within engineering consulting and/or operational resource companies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
  • Qualification in information management preferred
