About the Role

Reporting to the Study Lead, the Specialist Equipment Readiness is accountable for the development and delivery of Equipment Readiness scope (work packages) and phase deliverables as directed by the Study Lead and in accordance with the requirements of Minerals Australia Asset Projects (MAAP) Internal Standard.

The Specialist Equipment Readiness will achieve project success using approved business objectives within the constraints of scope, time, quality, safety and budget. Highly motivated, with a can-do attitude and successful delivery record, the incumbent will operate effectively within functional matrix organisational structure. A team player, the Specialist Equipment Readiness will use their influencing and stakeholder engagement skills to build a high performing team and consistently deliver to their customer’s expectations.

This is a Perth based role with regular travel to site as required to meet project and safety objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Develop project strategies to deliver health, safety and business objectives.
  • Drive implementation of project delivery plans, methodologies, systems and execution plans, including risk and quality management plans.
  • Form and lead teams of project, construction and implementation specialists to deliver project outcomes safely, on schedule and on budget.
  • Drive value driven decision making to ensure the project KPI’s are realised.
  • Proactively manage external relationships whilst contract awarding, purchasing and/and technical evaluation of bidders.
  • Implement positive communication processes to support project and operational outcomes.
  • Maintain strong and transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

  • Conversion & Commissioning Plans
  • Conversion Standards & Work Instructions
  • Maintenance Strategy
  • Parts
  • Maintenance training 
  • Inputs to org design change  

About You

  • Project Management experience, preferably via development or delivery of complex, multi-discipline projects.  Experience with mobile mining equipment would be considered preferable.
  • Demonstrated roles where you have been accountable for direct people leadership.
  • Advanced ‘Safety Leadership’ expertise with proven commitment to safety and sustainability.
  • Leading by example; fortitude to hold yourself and others accountable.
  • Mature negotiation, mentoring and coaching skills that support a high performing team built on a learning mind-set.
  • Experience of managing mobile equipment maintenance teams, ideally in an autonomous haulage setting.
