About the Role

Exciting opportunities have become available for Specialists within our Ethics Support Service for a 12 month fixed term basis. 

Sitting within BHP’s Ethics and Investigations sub-function, the Ethics Support Service is BHP’s dedicated team to provide information, advice and assistance to people impacted by sexual harassment and racism. 

Harnessing our charter values and underpinned by a person-centric approach, our ESS Specialists provide key process information and end-to-end support to help participants involved in sexual harassment and racism matters.   Highly specialised experts in care, key accountabilities include:

•    Proving timely response to impacted people who want to make a disclosure; or anyone who has a query about sexual harassment and/or racism; •    Explains BHP processes and options for investigative and non-investigative pathways, as well as specialist care services available; •    Maintains contact with case participants to ensure they are able to find support where required and navigate relevant BHP systems and processes; •    Supports leaders on how to manage cases, with specific focus on the wellbeing of the impacted persons and any other relevant participant, including team(s); •    Drives and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by promoting and providing visibility on the needs of impacted people; and •    Facilitates interactions (including non-investigative pathways) between key stakeholders and works collaboratively with internal parties.  •    Ensures that the safety and wellbeing of anyone impacted by sexual harassment and/or racism is central in everything we do.   Each opportunity will be available for a fixed term period of 12 months, and is based in either Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth.

About You

As a natural communicator who takes a person centred approach, you will know how to appropriately to people who are distressed, upset or aggressive.

You will be self-aware, have capacity for empathy and respect.

To be successful in this role, you will be adaptable, output orientated and have the ability to empower teams. 

Formal skills and experience required, are as follows:

  • Experience with Case Management and Care.
  • Degree on Psychology, Social Work or other Social Sciences.
  • Licence or qualification on case management, care and/or mental health.
