About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.

We are looking for a Specialist Finance that will report through to the Finance Business Partner. This is an important position based in Brisbane and responsible for assisting the Finance Business Partner in providing support to the Pacific Operations Corporate and Functional teams. 

You will:

  • Actively provide finance business partnering support to the Pacific Operations Corporate and Functional teams, including attending and participating in team meetings and workshops
  • Monitoring and managing costs for the Pacific Operations Corporate teams including working with the Financial Accounting Services (FAS) team to ensure that these are accurately reported whilst looking for ways to streamline and automate reporting processes
  • Continue to grow and develop our Cost Leadership program across the Corporate and Functional teams, enabling our leaders to become better cost leaders through the adoption of the cost leadership rituals
  • Involved and assist in month end processes around corporate cost reporting, reporting of R&D expenditure, consolidated Pacific Operations results and monthly MPR processes
  • Active involvement in the annual planning review (“APR”) including preparation of annual planning presentations to the SLT
  • Assist in the management and reporting of our non-managed joint ventures
  • Provide finance governance for the Integrated Productivity Program (IPP) including attending and providing input into the monthly IPP meetings. 

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in accounting or finance preferable
  • CA or CPA qualified preferable
  • Motivated, determined individual with ability to work autonomously
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to work with large amounts of data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both face to face and remotely
  • Ability to engage and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and judgement to provide meaningful insights and influence decisions
  • Experience in maintaining and developing Power BI reports is highly desirable
