Specialist - Fixed Plant, Ridgeway

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced Fixed Plant Specialist to coordinate servicing, repairing and maintenance of mechanical infrastructure at Ridgeway. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our fixed plant equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of fixed plant equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning and execution.

Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fixed plant equipment such as crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and various processing equipment.
• Meeting company maintenance and production objectives by ensuring all mechanical installation and maintenance work is carried out to relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and inventory of spare parts to support maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance teams to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards.
• Promote and maintain a culture of ‘safe production’ by compliance with company safety systems, policies, procedures and accountabilities. I.e. FCCCs, JSEA, Prestart inspections, hazcards and audits.
• Ensure all incidents, near miss and hazards are reported to Shift Supervisor.

About You

We are looking for a safety focused individual who has:

• A current mechanical or electrical trade qualification
• Experience as a fitter in fixed plant or underground mining
• Experience on various types of crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps and more
• Demonstrate behaviour consistent with Newmont values and a proven record in promoting and managing safety in the workplace.
• Current Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to take ownership of issues associated with your role
• Results orientated with a commitment to delivering planned outcomes consistent with safe production
• Basic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageous
