The role is based in Brockman 4 and is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, day shift only roster FIFO from Perth, Busselton, Geraldton or Albany
About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Geoscientist to join our Mine Technical Services team at Brockman 4. As a Specialist Geoscientist, you will be leveraging technical expertise in mine geology to execute technical duties independently in addition to technical coaching and training of mine geoscientist peers.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geoscience with no direct reports, you will:
Show leadership in a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance to safety standards and procedures
Prepare mine reconciliation and end of month reporting for distribution to technical teams
Actively identify opportunities for out of design ore in collaboration with technical services and production teams
Supervise the collection of grade/quality control samples and conduct geological mapping. Organize and compile collected data into relevant geological information management systems. QA/QC and assurance
Develop and manage inferred drilling programs
Implement fibrous minerals management plan and potential acid forming management
Review, accept & implement new geology models
Liaise and provide inputs into the mine quarterly forecast/plan, including review of call factors
Technical support in delivery of ad-hoc technical projects and coaching/training of mine geology peers
What you’ll bring:
Geoscience Degree
At least 4-5 years’ experience in a geology-related field with demonstrated experience in mine geology
Collaborative approach to working and strong team-work skills
Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong technical report writing skills
High standard of accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
A current Manual C-class WA Driver’s license

Located in the Pilbara region, Brockman 4 is 60km North-West of Tom Price. Nearby airport, Boolgeda airport, is only a 15-minute drive from the mine site and has flight options from both Perth airport and Busselton airport.
