We are looking for a Specialist Geoscientist to join our Mine Technical Services team at GNAM. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated geoscientist to apply strong technical expertise while coaching and supporting peers in a safety-focused environment, on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geoscience and working within a collaborative and high-performing technical team, you will:
Demonstrate leadership in safety by ensuring compliance with standards and procedures
Prepare mine reconciliation and end-of-month reporting for technical teams
Identify opportunities for out-of-design ore in collaboration with production and technical teams
Validate grade control sampling and conduct geological mapping, including QA/QC processes
Develop and manage inferred drilling programs
On-site management of E13 Standard
Contribute to forecasting, planning and geology model reviews
About you
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Degree in Geoscience
Experience in mine geology (typically 4–5+ years in a geology-related field)
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent communication and technical report writing capability
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Where you’ll be working
Located 100 kilometres north-west of Tom Price, Greater Nammuldi comprises of Brockman 2, Nammuldi, and Silvergrass mines. Renowned for its strong safety culture and diverse fly-in fly-out workforce, the site welcomes employees from Perth, Albany, Geraldton, and Busselton via Rio Tinto’s Boolgeeda Airport.
With two villages – one currently undergoing expansion – Greater Nammuldi offers exceptional facilities to support its team. The site contributes to both SP10 and Pilbara Blend products and has a rich history with Brockman 2 mine dating back to 1993. Nammuldi mine is also one of the world’s first autonomous mines.
Together with Brockman 4, Greater Nammuldi boasts one of the largest fleets of autonomous haul trucks in the world.
