About the Role
To provide effective and high quality strategic support with the delivery of Global Mobility (GM) services and projects in the APAC and EMEA region.
- Manage the provision of strategic Global Mobility support to the Business for the assigned region.
- Execute global mobility activities for executive employees assigned to or within the region, ensuring the delivery of activities for employees is timely and customer-focussed whilst maintaining operational discipline. Including supporting with the execution for non-executive employees as and when required.
- Act as a day to day contact for and provide specialist technical subject matter expertise in global mobility for the business and local HR in the region, including country specific immigration and relocation activities, and external legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Review and implement continuous improvement initiatives of GM processes, tools, templates, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements in the region. Proactively seek opportunities to simplify, remove duplication and minimise hand-offs to enhance standardisation, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support the Global Mobility Operations team with resolving complex employee and leader queries and support the Business with the escalation of service delivery and compliance issues.
- Provide guidance to the Business and HR to manage compliance requirements with respect to Short Term Business Travellers and International Remote Working in the Region.
- Monitor, govern and ensure alignment and compliance with internal controls including the Operational Plan, Group Level Documents, agreements, systems, standards and procedures, and legislative compliance. Ensure that GM processes are documented and standards are maintained.
- Monitor the services of external Vendors, following up on service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives as required
- Maintain good working relationships with peers within the BHP HR community (Regional Global Mobility team, Global Reward, HRBP’s, HR Operations, Sub-Function SMEs).
- Support the Manager Global Mobility on strategic activities and projects as required.
About You
- Degree or equivalent education required and/or international mobility or international reward roles
- Deep experience with the delivery, execution and understanding of global mobility programs and policies
- Good understanding of Regional reporting requirements and governance issues as they relate to tax and immigration and understanding of global jurisdictional differences, legislation and regulations
- Technical experience in global mobility concepts, methodologies and approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to adapt to change
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
