About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Procurement Global Process Ownership (GPO) to partner and collaborate across Global Procurement, Group Services, functions and the business to design, facilitate and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes as we progress our GPO journey.

This role is a great opportunity for a passionate self-starter who can hit the ground running, work autonomously, and be our key Procurement GPO representative in Brisbane or Perth. This role reports to the Principal Advisor Procurement GPO in Brisbane with team members in Montreal and Perth. As the Specialist Procurement GPO, you will:

  • Engage and partner with Global Procurement, whilst being the key GPO interface to the Procurement team in Brisbane / Perth.
  • Play an integral role in GPO Procurement’s three key pillars of:
    • Keeping the procurement lights on by maintaining our current procurement architecture;
    • Continuous improvement though GPO initiatives and involvement of Procurement’s Flagship Improvement Program; and
    • Building our GPO vision and roadmap
  • Provide thought leadership on the Global Procurement GPO vision with consideration for local nuances
  • Coach and support the Procurement community in best practices for category management processes, controls and our sourcing and contracting platform ‘Ariba’
  • Lead and support the design and delivery of global and regional improvement solutions that deliver quantifiable business value
  • Be effective at stakeholder management, engagement, influencing and champion change
  • Manage multiple streams of work and stakeholders across business groups and locations
  • Have the ability to work across multiple time zones, when necessary

  • Experience - Have previous exposure to the Commercial or Procurement value chain with a solid understanding of sourcing and contracts is (highly desirable)
  • Education - A degree in Business, Procurement or Management
