About the Role Reporting to the Superintendent Medical Services, this role supports the coordination and execution of pre-employment and legislated medical assessments as well as providing asset-level support to site medical centres, including process governance, standardisation, and continuous improvement.This role also contributes to case management activities, including injury prevention and management, fitness for work, and rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to a culture of care, with the ability to engage with workers and stakeholders in a respectful and confidential manner. This will be supported by sound clinical judgement, the ability to be dynamic and to participate in a range of health-related activities.
- Provides support for regulatory medicals and health surveillance activities
- Support asset health and medical project delivery
- Support medical services e.g. Medics, EAP, Physiotherapy, Appointed Medical Advisers
- Lead the development and delivery of health promotion material
- Lead behavioural-based Field Leadership observations, offering support and technical guidance underpinned by a culture of care.
- Maintains health enterprise systems (e.g. Cority), data integrity and document management.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Paramedicine with current AHPRA Registration.
- Recent experience working in a clinical role, with exposure to patient care and clinical processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to effectively engage, influence and coach varied levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office suite.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of Queensland workers’ compensation process, and RRTWC course completion.
- Experience working within mining or heavy industry
- Knowledge of QLD Coal mining Legislation and WH&S Legislation.
