About the Role

This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your skills and experience as a health professional working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, vendors and health providers. The health specialist is responsible for establishing injury and illness case management in accordance with internal requirements as established by BHP and OS, and in-line with legislative requirements.

About You

This opportunity requires someone who has:

  • Ability to triage, make informed decisions, and problem solve.

Key Duties:  

  • Communication and consultation with employees, medical and allied health providers, and stakeholders 
  • Coordinating effective delivery of treatment services ensuring that workers are appropriately assessed and that all relevant testing requirements are addressed, and compliance is managed
  • Delivering and monitoring health strategies and injury and illness prevention initiatives
  • Coordinating case management with the Workers’ Compensation provider, medical and allied health professionals
  • Engaging stakeholders to assess and monitor fitness for work of employees and contractors
  • Supporting the delivery of health promotion and encouraging a mentally healthy workforce.

Location & Roster:  

Reporting to the OS HSS West Superintendent, this exciting role will support Operations Services deployments in Western Australia and South Australia. This role is Perth based, with adhoc site travel. Flexible & hybrid working arrangements will be considered.
