About the Role
BHP is seeking an extremely motivated and skilled individual to join the Minerals Australia Hosting team. The Specialist Hosting plays an important role in the delivery of critical enterprise and production services to BHP. You will be a key member assisting with the configuration, maintenance and support of IT/OT Operating Systems and OT Active Directory across BHPs Australian assets. You will work alongside a dynamic and dedicated team focused on its customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Automation of Operating Environment services & activities and ongoing maintenance of these services
- Maintaining capacity, availability, and health of Hosting Operating Environments
- Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, applying a customer focused approach
- Contributing and improving standards and operating procedures
- Identifying and delivering improvements to our environment
About You
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- The ability to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with specific tasks and procedures
- Proven attendance record (either school or recent employment)
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Motivation to learn and develop new skills
- Confidence to speak up when others put themselves or others at risk
- The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
- Unrestricted Open C Class Driver’s License
- Strong computer skills
- Minimum of C class manual driver's license
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and administrating Microsoft Windows Servers, Group Policy, SCCM and Active Directory Domain Services in an enterprise environment
- Proven experience with automation including powershell scripting and Splunk.
- Experience with Compute (Cisco & Dell), Hypervisor (VMware vSphere)
- Proven experience in Problem solving and understanding root causes
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux is desirable
