We have an excellent opportunity for a highly self-motivated Specialist to join our Asset Reliability team in Perth.
Within the Maintenance Planning & Engineering division, our Asset Reliability team is leading business wide transformational improvement programs in the areas of Hydrocarbons, Asset Health and Master Data, designed to deliver a step change in Maintenance performance. As lead for the Hydrocarbon uplift projects you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our people, processes, systems, and infrastructure are set up to deliver the required performance across our asset portfolio.
Reporting to the Principal – Hydrocarbon Management and working with several partners across sites, engineering, and suppliers you will:
- Develop and oversee comprehensive plans for hydrocarbon initiatives in mining operations.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure alignment with initiative goals and deadlines.
- Supervise initiative schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for efficient delivery.
- Supervise the design and optimization of hydrocarbon systems for enhanced efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate innovative technologies and best practices into hydrocarbon processes.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations and industry standards related to hydrocarbons in mining.
- Identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Act as the primary technical authority on hydrocarbon-related matters, guiding teams and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of advancements in hydrocarbon technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions.
About you
Ideal candidates will be highly self-motivated, able to work autonomously to a schedule, have excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation, and networking skills, and have a drive to always be better than yesterday. The ability to host workshops, present solutions, and influence groups of all levels will be extremely important. A “can do” attitude and positive outlook are essential as well as being able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at leading multifaceted initiatives.
Technically minded, you will have the ability to review current processes, systems and data and provide valuable insight and recommendations for improved performance. You will have exceptional problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
You will have an ability to work with end users to understand requirements and current pain points, then convert these into technical solutions, working with stakeholders to ensure that they are sustainable and supported into the future.
A background or previous experience in Hydrocarbons or Engineering Project Management will be essential for you to hit the ground running. A degree in mechanical engineering, project or construction management would be highly regarded.
A deep understanding of Maintenance and Asset Management processes will be highly regarded but isn’t essential as long as you are willing to go the extra mile to learn.

This position is based between our Central Park offices in Perth CBD, Perth Operations Centre with flexible working arrangements
