ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).
As the Specialist Improvement, you will be responsible for:
- Facilitate the implementation of key production and improvement initiatives across the mining supply chain, while monitoring and reporting on production metrics.
- Analyse key production performance metrics to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements.
- Collaborate with execution, technical, maintenance, and planning teams to enhance mining production systems and practices.
- Work closely with internal team members on routine production reporting and reviews, enhancing data accuracy across daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Comprehensive understanding of mining operations
- Proficient in report and document writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in surface mining operations.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, SSRS, and SSMS
- Experience in planning and scheduling is preferred.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, C, or MATLAB) are a plus.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Degree in Mine Engineering or related discipline
