About the Role

The Rail Safety Management Systems (RSMS) team are seeking a Specialist Information & Communication Management team member to work in a collaborative environment. You will possess strong systems and information management capabilities and play a key role in positively impacting the team's objectives, image and culture, through advocacy and communication strategies to foster relationships crucial to the team's success.

The role is pivotal in maintaining strong working relationships across multiple Rail locations, resources, and external stakeholders, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our Rail Safety Management System.   This role is based in Port Hedland on a 5:2 (Mon-Fri), Perth on a 5:2 or FIFO 8:6 roster. The successful candidate will have a strong background in stakeholder engagement, corporate or group level communications, or media relations to form part of the Rail Safety Management Systems success.

In this role you will:

-    Manage effective communication of initiatives and regulatory activities in line with strategic objectives -    Actively manage controlled and managed document practices within the Rail Safety Management Systems Team. -    Develop and support implementation of changed management engagements of critical information  -    Configure and deliver structured communications -    Engage, plan and execute internal and external stakeholder activities, including compliance activities -    Build connections with teams on policies and procedures to collaborate rail-network focused information management -    Deliver results-based reports that support regulatory objectives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator with proven relationship-building skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups. You will be adaptive, a strategic thinker who solves problems proactively balancing stakeholder interests. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:

-    Proven skills to develop and demonstrate document management standards -    Experience in critical communication strategies and engagement methods -    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills -    Attention to detail, strategic thinking, and ability to work to deadlines  -    Confidence in engaging with and providing support to team’s objectives -    Working autonomously and within team environments through remote and office-based environments -    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal -    Agile in dynamic work environment -    Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence -    Strong aptitude of continuous improvement and forward focused -    Previous working experience in Rail environment (desirable)
