About the role

We are looking for an integrated operations specialist with a high level of Supply Chain experience and knowledge to join our Dynamic Scheduling team.

The Specialist Integrated Operations is responsible for identifying supply chain risk and optimisation opportunities through the use of state-of-the-art monitoring processes and data driven decision making.

The focus is on ensuring that the short and long term supply chain impacts are clearly understood and actioned, and that the monthly plans are achieved across the bauxite system, including 4 mines, 4 plants, 3 ports.

Working a Monday through Friday roster in the Brisbane CBD and reporting to the Superintendent Dynamic Scheduling, you will be:

  • Highly experienced in mining operations with a key understanding of logistics and supply chain management
  • Delivering bauxite supply chain optimisation, with key stakeholders being Production Planning, Mining Operations, Fixed Plant Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, Tech Marketing and Dynamic Scheduling
  • Influencing both internal and external stakeholders in best for business decision making
  • Monitoring performance data, coordinating and actioning short term mitigation plans that deliver quality, tonnes and efficiency
  • Partnering with planning, control execution and dynamic scheduling teams to review performance against plan
  • Assigning clear actions and objectives, demonstrating an understanding of how these achieve business objectives for the entire supply chain
  • Where required making trade off decisions across the bauxite value chain, within defined parameters across the 24|7 operations, with the visibility and data required
  • Working collaboratively with operations and operations centre team members to ensure productive and efficient plan output
  • Identifying sustainable improvement opportunities to simplify work
  • Providing coaching, leadership and support as the most senior technical role in the Dynamic Scheduling team

What will you bring

To be successfully considered for this role, it is advantageous if you have:

  • Mining operations experience
  • Tertiary degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management | commerce
  • A high level of computer literacy and excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership experience or a similar position of influence
  • Honed stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated capability to work in a dynamic environment
  • LEAN / Six Sigma training
  • Exposure to fixed plant operations, preferably with scheduling and stockyard experience
