About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Integrated Planning you will support alignment of activities across the region, to ensure safe and effective delivery of capital projects and planned maintenance. This will support Copper South Australia with robust allocation of labour resources and clear visibility of labour demand.

This is an Adelaide-based position.

In this role you will:

  • Support long-term value creation through the development and maintenance of high quality, resource levelled major events plans.
  • Establish a weekly review where relevant teams gather to validate and update data inputs, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Conduct a monthly assessment of resource needs and availability, aligning with the overall labour planning strategy.
  • Identify gaps between capacity and demand with operational stakeholders to understand root cause, develop and implement recovery plans (daily, weekly, quarterly horizons as well as gaps to budget).
  • Understand the voice of the customer, engaging stakeholders to verify data inputs, address any discrepancies, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Implement and champion routine Event Owner Updates.
  • Review and reconcile forecasts with actual resource utilisation, identifying areas for improvement.

As this is a newly created role, you will also develop standardised routines, systems, and ways of working to best serve the purpose of the role. This will include accountability for the development and deployment of a tool to track and coordinate labour resource requirements across Copper South Australia.

About You

  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Business, Science or an aligned qualification
  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Technical and Planning functions
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Suite – PowerApps experience advantageous but not essential
  • A strategic thinker, solution orientated
  • Demonstrated ability to balance tactical deliverables with a strategic outlook
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders across multiple areas and business functions
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to understand business drivers
  • A commitment to health, safety and the environment through Leadership
