Job Responsibilities

Macmahon is looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist. This role focuses on minimising inventory value whilst ensuring that equipment downtime is not compromised through analysing what materials (in particular OTR tyres) are required to be held in stock, their optimum quantity and their location. 

About the role
 

  • Develop and improve tools to determine optimum stock holding quantities and location.
  • Implement changes to items being stocked, in consultation with site.
  • Review warehouse procedures to ensure they continuously improve inventory processing and analysis.
  • Review catalogue to keep data clean and work with Cataloguer to reduce duplication and maintain naming conventions.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting of inventory analysis against targets set.

About you
 

  • Supply Chain knowledge and experience (Essential to have experience in stores/warehousing).
  • Advanced data analysis.
  • Expert Excel user.
  • Knowledge of SAP, especially S/4HANA (desirable).
  • Knowledge of large OTR tyres.
  • Formal training in material/inventory management (highly desirable).
  • Risk assessment knowledge and understanding (desirable).
