About the Role

Investor Relations engages with investors, analysts, and stakeholders, to build trusted relationships with the equity market and derive a fully informed market value. We are seeking candidates for a Specialist to work as part of the global Investor Relations (IR) team. The IR function is accountable for facilitating the full and fair market valuation for BHP’s equity by enabling effective two-way communication between the Company and the equity market, as well as development of a broad and stable shareholder base that understands our strategy, operations and prospects.

Key Accountabilites

•    Undertake research and financial analysis, to respond to internal and external market-based requests. •    Monitor and perform analysis on market-based reports and consensus to improve understanding of our equity valuation. •    Assist in preparation and support delivery of investor communications (including internal market data collation, operating & financial results, investor briefings, site visits & investment conferences) •    Respond to investor/analyst queries  •    Participate in meetings with investors/analysts •    Manage interaction with assigned Businesses on an ongoing basis  

About You

To be successful in this role you will have an analytical mindset, demonstrate a solid understanding of markets and value drivers, broad experience in financial analysis and valuation techniques as well as broad knowledge of the resources sector. You will possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.  This will be complimented by a strong team orientation and a keen eye for detail.  A tertiary qualification in corporate finance, engineering, accounting, or a related discipline is essential, along with proficiency in MS office applications.
