About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity available in the BMA Learning, Capability and Compliance team for a Specialist Learning, Capability and Compliance (Governance). Reporting to the Superintendent Learning Strategy, Systems and Compliance, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team within BMA Integrated Operations, responsible for the governance of training requirements and compliance across the Asset. This role will be based in Brisbane working a 5 and 2 roster. Your responsibilities and opportunities for development include:  

  • Perform system audits and governance reviews to preserve system integrity and mitigate risk and ensure compliance with legal and other requirements and the BHP Learning Architecture.

  • Assess and support the processing of cases / requests to maintain compliance of asset-wide Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and the Learning Management System.

  • Ensure a high quality of service and support to our customers across our operations to ensure alignment with the BHP Learning Operating Model and business standards.

  • Develop and maintain documentation which govern the processes, promoting transparency and enabling business insight.

  • Implementation of changes to the BMA Training Management System and Training Needs Analysis in accordance with BHP Management of Change processes.

  • Source information, plans and conduct analysis to support evidence based decision making.

About You

You will have:   

  • Considerable experience in using BHP’s Learning Management System (LMS) and training management system knowledge.

  • Knowledge of training related legislative requirements, safety and health management system, management of change and risk management processes.

  • Customer focused, considering our customers values and requirements.

  • A passion for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to interpret data to support decision making.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office Suite.
