About the Role
Reporting directly to the Eastern Mines Conveyor Superintendent within the Operations Services Team, this position is responsible for identifying opportunities and delivering technical solutions to ensure that the Conveyors across site achieve the desired run rate and efficiency targets. In this role you will:
• Facilitate the deployment of Standardised Work • Coach front-line employees in the application of Standardised Work • Support root cause analysis and problem solving to continuously improve • Identify and deliver projects to optimise conveyor operation in terms of Safety, Volume and Cost; • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance and processing personnel to ensure that both volume and quality targets are met; • Drive a culture with a focus on reducing costs through maximising recovery, minimising down time and eliminating waste; • Achieve best practice for OS operating processes through application of the OS Operating Standards.
About You
You will have:
• Previous experience in a processing plant – Iron Ore industry focussed around conveyors would be highly regarded; • Engineering degree qualification or similar would be desirable, . • High focus on safety • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal & stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Highly motivated and results driven. • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Willingness to take a "hands on" approach.
