About the role
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to support inbound logistics operations across land and sea transport modes. This role will focus on internalizing logistics responsibilities from suppliers, working closely with Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods. While the main focus is on inbound logistics, the role may also support outbound logistics activities as needed.Reporting to the Senior Manager APAC Logistics, the individual will:
Lead inbound logistics planning and execution, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of materials.
Collaborate with Procurement to transition from supplier-managed to company-managed transport.
Support project teams with end-to-end supply chain visibility and coordination.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for land and sea logistics services.
Participate in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and onboarding.
Coordinate and oversee execution of transport plans, managing service provider performance.
Ensure compliance with Incoterms, and internal standards.
Incorporate relevant government regulations, company policies, and safety requirements into daily logistics activities.
Track KPIs including delivery performance, cost efficiency, and service quality.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and compliance.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
5 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Experience in logistics and supply chain management with a strong understanding of processes, practices, and systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
It will be beneficial to have:
Knowledge of Incoterms and logistics compliance standards
Knowledge in ocean freight, trucking, warehousing, and stevedoring.
