About the MECoE
BHP's Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) are the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving, and maintaining the highest standards in maintenance for BHP globally. About the Role
This role will build skill, capability & excellence of future maintenance professionals within the MECoE by creating experience, exposure, and education opportunities for applicants by rotation through various teams within the Centre.
Commitment to diversity and inclusion of applicants will be imperative to success of this role. The role will provide development opportunities through various departments of the MECoE.
Reporting to the Manager Diversity Devt and Reporting, you will be expected to develop skills to enable you to be a performing member of these teams:
- Governance and improvement of how we maintain our Equipment with direct impact to our Operations through Strategy Optimisation.
- Enhancing the defect elimination culture and involvement in root cause analysis through Defect Elimination.
- Understanding in detail our process & systems and performance management of our assets within Asset Management.
Underpinning this will be Operational exposure with our Assets involving regular communication with our site-based teams and some travel required to complete routine tasks and activities.
You will work within these teams on a rotational basis over the course of a year with a view to then be placed into one of the roles depending on your skills and fit within these teams.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated relevant experience in maintenance.
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering (e.g: Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant Engineering Programs).
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships through communicating with impact to influence and drive positive outcomes.
- Excellent organisational skills and the focus to deliver a quality, timely outcome and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt rapidly to a changing work environment and respond positively to ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety by acting with integrity and modelling safety behaviours utilising BHPs processes & procedures and taking accountability for the safety of yourself and other employees.
- Great team players who understand the importance of collaboration and have an optimistic can-do attitude.
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working on Monday-Friday roster while flexi work is also offered.
