About the Role

  We have an exciting opportunity within Global Business Services, Master Data and Insights.

Reporting to the Master Data Lead for Monitoring & Data Governance, you will be responsible for monitoring, improving and governing the quality of master data and process in accordance with BHP requirements and standard operating procedures, specifically for Asset/Work Management Master Data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drives business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance. 
  • Manages new and existing sets of master data, runs and cleanses reports to remove errors and improve the quality of master data across BHP.  
  • Conducts timely and accurate master data quality and compliance reporting to drive insight that enables internal and external customers to make informed decisions.
  • Manage to serve as direction and context to apply Governance control practices and Master Data compliance standards, to support the quality of the customer projects 
  • Wrangles, cleanses and manages master data to maintain the quality and integrity of BHP data and ensure compliance with master data rules  
  • Analyses master data to draw out insights and solutions that address hypotheses and business challenges.  
  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders to satisfy the customer needs
  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.  
  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.  
  • Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.  
  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste. 
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.  

About You

As the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong understanding in SAP Asset/Work Management master data objects and integration with other functional streams in SAP.
  • Ability to build and process SAP master data load sheets 
  • Previous experience or understanding in Asset Performance Management System will be highly regarded
  • Ability to articulate problems and synthesis options for countermeasures, this includes assessing the right tools or methodologies to solve them.
  • Comfortable in facilitating discussions and presentation with audience from different levels and backgrounds.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding operating models in BHP and value drivers that can be unlocked by master data.
  • Good communication skills including ability to engage and collaborate with others to build respectful, positive and sustaining relationships.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage your time effectively
