About the Role
As a key member of the WAIO Security and Emergency Management team, in the capacity of Medical Trainer you will be tasked with successfully developing, delivering and governing a sustainable and fit for purpose medical training program for SEM clinical team members and line-based volunteers across WAIO assets.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Developing and maintaining a clinical training curriculum for WAIO assets
- Evaluating and mapping learning objectives within a well-defined business process
- Supporting the implementation of training programs as they relate to emergency management activities.
- Developing and maintaining a high level of administrator efficiency with the BHP Learning Management System (LMS)
- Assisting with the provision of suitable clinical governance across WAIO assets
- Identifying, mentoring and supporting Site staff who have the required qualifications (Paramedic or RN) to deliver required training
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a highly collaborative and degree qualified professional. You possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with key people across multi-functional teams.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- Recent and relevant clinical and/or training experience
- Demonstrated experience in regard to developing, delivering, and reporting training.
- Strong understanding of, and exposure to, clinical governance process and systems
- WAIO and industry SEM knowledge and understanding
- High proficiency with Learning Management systems and reporting programs
- Current AHPRA registration (Paramedicine or Registered Nurse)
