About the role
We are looking for Shutdown Specialist to help us excel and lead the planning and safe execution of mobile equipment across our West Pilbara sites – Paraburdoo and Tom Price.
This role is a great opportunity for an individual who has experience within a shutdown environment and is looking to take the next step in their career.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on an 8 days on, 8 days off roster with flexible working arrangements which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the West Shuts Superintendent you will:
- Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices, and processes
- Working closely with planners in identifying, planning, and scheduling scopes of work and assisting in the organisation of labour and parts through effective shut tracking processes
- Using work management & shutdown management processes to create & produce weekly and yearly shutdown schedules.
- Prioritising work with the Supervisors, Superintendents, and external departments, utilising your considerable stakeholder and relationship building skills.
- Ensuring shutdown activities are completed safely while meeting the shutdown schedule, respecting the critical path and deadlines to consistently deliver shuts in a sustainable/ timely manner and with maximum customer satisfaction.
- Identifying and driving cost savings through accurate forecasting & management of labour & accommodation
- Reporting on shutdown completion/outcomes to the business
- Contractor Management & review
- Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritization of safety in all activities and safety improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing, and coaching team members
- An aptitude to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a shutdown environment
- Contractor workforce management experience
- Exposure to work management process and SAP
- Exposure to MS Project (desirable)
- Maintenance experience working with Heavy Mobile Equipment (desirable)
- A current Australian driver's license
