About the role  

Join our Engineering Services team as a Specialist Mine Water Management to play a leading role in the ongoing development and management of our mine water management assets.

Reporting to the Principal Engineering Services in our Fixed Plant Engineering team, accountabilities of the role include:

• Development and implementation of asset management systems for current and future mine water management assets

• Development and implementation of discipline specific engineering standards

• Development and execution of mine water management asset strategy including 5 year capital planning

• Provide technical discipline support to projects and operation / maintenance functions

• Coach, mentor and train building capability within sites

• Collaborate with Business Units and Sites to share learnings / support replication opportunities

• Technical oversight of relevant equipment supply contracts and continuous improvement

What you’ll bring 

To be successfully considered for this role, you will bring :

• Previous experience in mine water management operations and maintenance

• Demonstrable experience in whole-of-life asset management

• Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Able to lead via influence

• Engineering degree qualification or applicable trade (preferred but not essential)

• A commitment to safety of yourself and your team

• Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset

• A C Class Manual drivers license

Where you’ll be working 

This role will be based at our Operations Centre in Perth (near the Perth Airport). Our integrated iron ore network is supported by our Operations Centre (OC) in Perth, a state-of-the-art facility that enables all the autonomous trucks, trains and drills at our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location.

The OC incorporates visualisation and collaboration tools to provide real-time information across our demand chain and allows us to optimise our mining, maintenance and logistic activities across the Pilbara in a way never before possible. Located near the Perth domestic airport, the OC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail and ports from 1,500km away.
