About the Role

  • Trusted partner to operational stakeholder in respect of contract management
  • Detailed understanding of their portfolio of contracts including technical knowledge, demand analysis, spend analysis
  • Works collaboratively across Supply (Region, Global and across sub-functions) and operational stakeholders across Australia to manage high value/high risk contracts
  • Business partnering approach to supplier management
  • Driving and coaching suppliers, Contract Owners and Contract Owner Representatives to optimize supplier performance within the contract framework and help achieve supply
  • supported targets through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Pursuing operational and commercial excellence through continuous improvement
  • Contribute to achieving Supply performance targets
  • Builds trusted relationships and effectively influences key asset and functional stakeholders to deliver required work outcomes
  • Contributes to a positive team culture across Category Management
  • Assists Manager Category Management and Principals to manage portfolio risks and governance requirements

  • Contributes to category strategy development and appropriate sourcing activities
  • All contract portfolio accountabilities including contract extensions and contract variations

Core Accountabilities

  •  Execution excellence across Supply’s accountabilities, including operational and commercial Supply KPIs and our Contract Management Framework with a focus on end-to-end contract management including contract mobilization and handover to operational Contract Owners and rectifying non-conformances to contract
  • Proactive administration and management of contracts, inclusive of KPI reporting, spend analytics, identification of scope creep, and off-contract spend
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to become a highly valued contract expert, trusted with commercial support, negotiations and on-going contract management
  • Driving and coaching suppliers and Contract Owners to optimize supplier performance within the contract framework
  • Pursuing operational and commercial excellence through continuous improvement to help achieve supply supported targets and demand savings opportunities
  • Applying sound commercial judgement around application of contractual terms.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive contract data in GCMS
  • Proactive management of the commercial terms of the contract including price reviews and periodic review meetings
  • Amending contracts as required including updating or expanding scopes of services and schedules of materials, manage contract extensions in line with FLR requirements
  • Lead or support direct tendering, negotiation & implementation of local sourcing requirements
  • Proactively share replicable contract management opportunities with internal stakeholders across contracts, categories and assets to drive continuous improvement
  • Participate and support activities to ensure Supply delivers on our Business Plan including Department and Global KPIs
  • Develop and implement advanced commercial techniques to leverage value creation opportunities
