About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability, within the Mining Equipment Maintenance team the Onsite Planner is a dedicated resource tasked with managing the Maintenance work plan requirements within the +1 - +2 horizon enabling Operations Execution teams to perform required Maintenance activities and meet Production targets. The Onsite planner facilitates Schedule lock-in with Maintenance execution teams.

Success in the role is achieved through engagement with multiple stakeholders across the Operation to ensure the integration of Maintenance and Production activities to deliver a single integrated plan, providing routine feedback to the MECoE to enable continuous improvement.

Location

This role is based on a residential basis in Newman 5/2 roster or fly-in fly-out from Perth on a 5/2/4/3 roster.

You will be working at ‘Newman Operations’ mine site, which at more than five kilometres long and nearly 1.5 kilometres wide is the biggest single-pit open-cut iron ore mine in the world. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities. As a gateway to the Karijini National Park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes. Should you select to be residentially located in Newman, you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.

About You

You will be a performance focused and output driven individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Technical experience with relevant OEMs, preferably in an engineering or trade capacity (Caterpillar, Liebherr & Epiroc)
  • Specific knowledge of 1SAP planning & scheduling and Work Management process
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with and understanding of Inventory and Logistics processes
  • Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Positively contribute to a caring and supportive team culture
  • Adaptability to continuously changing work environments
  • Ability to lead within a peer group and client groups, using influencing and negotiation skills to resolve problems
  • Strong attention to detail with an improvement driven mindset
