About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Operational Readiness to join the team. The Capital & Closure Projects delivers a portfolio of capital projects that support our mining and port operations to produce iron ore in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role is part of a team responsible for supporting projects from initiation through to implementation and closure of the project.
This role is a great opportunity to apply your Operational Readiness knowledge and understanding of Asset Maintenance and Operational Readiness requirements on project handover.

You’ll work on a residential Monday - Friday roster or a 5/2/4/3 FIFO roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Superintendent Operational Readiness, you will:
Lead Operational Readiness requirements for more specialist, and complex projects
Assists with the implementation of operational/closure readiness processes, tools and guidance globally.
Participate in communities of practice to support the evolution of consistent good practices within operational readiness.
Support compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a culture of participation and improvement.
Provide technical support and direction to project stakeholders, building on and sharing the lessons learnt.
Provide support with the development and review of Project Deliverables with particular focus on operational readiness and transition to support deliverables of the new Assets to site.
Strong stakeholder management working with internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
A Current “C Class” WA Driver’s license,
Relevant Engineering Qualification or associated technical background in the mining industry,
Project Management knowledge and experience.
Excellent stakeholder engagement
Experience in OR on one or more major projects
Fixed plant background, in a technical engineering, operational or maintenance role
· Demonstrated experience in an OR or projects specialist role and potential for career progression within the team
Ideally, a technical skillset in electrical, mechanical or control systems engineering.
Experience with Balanced Machines also desired.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills,
Working knowledge of SAP, MSDT and MS Project would be advantageous.

This role is based at Cape Lambert and can be either residential in Wickham or FIFO from Perth.
