About the Role

This position adopts our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing/period. Employees on this roster will have two full weekends off out of four, and will rotate through the following shifts:

  • 2 days of work / 2 nights of work / 5 days off
  • 2 days of work / 3 nights of work / 4 days off
  • 3 days of work / 2 nights of work / 5 days off

Shifts are 12.5 hours in duration including the handover requirement to the next team. As part of your remuneration package you will receive additional shift allowances when worked.   

Working within the team based in the Perth Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC) and reporting to the Supervisor OT Operations, your duties will include:

  • Proactive monitoring & event management to maintain critical production systems availability
  • Rapidly provide break-fix solutions to restore production system availability following outages
  • Perform maintenance activities that reduce failure rates and downtime of equipment
  • Safe execution of planned maintenance and Change activities 
  • Engaging with site operation stakeholders during events, incidents, and changes
  • Working collaboratively in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) environment

On the job skills transfer will occur, as well as opportunities for additional vendor training and development programs.

The below technical skills or experience are essential to this role:

  • Cisco certification or similar.
  • Network setup, configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Use of network monitoring tools, eg Solarwinds
  • Industrial networking & Process control systems, eg SCADA, PLCs 
  • Ethernet and Fibre cabling fault troubleshooting
  • Defence force signals / communications background

It would be great if you have completed a tertiary qualification in either a technology, science or engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.
