ABOUT PERTH OFFICE
South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This twelve-month fixed-term position for parental leave coverage, will be held in our Perth offices. We understand and value the benefits of flexibility and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home).
The Organisational Capability team is accountable for designing and governing global strategy across end-to-end talent processes. This includes, but is not limited to, Employee Experience, Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding, Inclusion and Diversity (I&D), Career Entry Programs, Talent Management and succession Planning, Perception Measurement, and Offboarding.
As Specialist Organisational Capability, you'll work closely with the team to design, implement, and continuously improve organisational capability projects across the end-to-end talent process at South32, including Employee Experience, Recruitment, Onboarding, Career Entry Programs, Talent Management and Succession Planning, and Inclusion and Diversity.
Reporting to the Manager Organisational Capability, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
• Shape strategic employee lifecycle initiatives across global teams through data insights, research and meaningful stakeholder engagement - from discovery to delivery.
• Coordinate and deliver annual HR programs, focusing on talent development pathways and providing expert guidance to HR Business Partners in continuously evolving our practices.
• Transform organisational capability trends through research and data to identify opportunities that strengthen and advance our talent infrastructure.
• Execute key processes and cross-functional change initiatives while supporting risk management and controls to maintain robust talent practices and foster innovation.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Bring your comprehensive HR experience across the entire employee lifecycle, where you'll leverage insights to create meaningful impact through talent programs and initiatives.
• Share your expertise in information analysis and problem-solving, developing creative solutions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail that ensures excellence in delivery.
• Showcase your exceptional communication abilities through compelling presentations and written materials, utilising the entire Microsoft suite to bring ideas to life.
• Apply your talent for building strong relationships and influencing diverse stakeholders, ideally drawing from experience in global organisations.
• Demonstrate your ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by balancing multiple priorities while maintaining consistent, high-quality output.
• Contribute your self-motivated approach and results-focused mindset to deliver impactful outcomes that enhance our people practices and processes.
Qualifications for this position are:
• Tertiary Qualifications in business-related areas: Organisation Psychology, Human Resources, Change Management
