About the Role

This role focuses on driving the performance of Communications and fleet management systems to optimise the communications network and reduce faults with a customer and safety focus.

  What Success will look like:

   Zero safety incidents and minimal communications outages and high level of availability

About You

Qualifications:

  • Trade certificate in Communications (radio, transmission or electronics) or related qualification.
  • “C” Class Drivers license
  • ACMA Cabler License

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Modular (or other) Fleet Management Systems
  • Point to Point/Point to Multipoint/Breadcrumb and other wireless communications systems
  • Microwave and Optic Fibre communications
  • IP Networks
  • P25 Digital and Analogue radio maintenance and repairs
  • Solar power systems

Experience:

  • Experience in installation/maintenance/repairs on fleet management systems is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a mining, rail or heavy industrial environment is preferred.

Roster:

  • Sportsman’s day shift – 4/5/5 (7 day equal time)
  • 12hrs shifts
