Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.Our greatest asset is and has always been our people and communities, which is why we are committed to working together on our Pathway to 2030 - a program to responsibly close Mt Arthur Coal. About the Role
The Specialist Planner Scheduling role will report to the CHP Planning & Reliability Superintendent and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating work plans in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management. This role will be accountable to develop the final maintenance schedule ensuring an executable plan is produced and effectively handed over to execution teams.
This role works closely with the Maintenance Execution teams to ensure the area equipment is maintained safely and reliably as well as delivering continuous improvement to work plans.
This is a full time residential role working a Monday to Friday roster.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and schedule maintenance work in line with the 1SAP Work Management process.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure schedules are clearly understood and achievable.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to embed and, where required, adjust planning and scheduling processes.
- Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance planning outcomes.
- Prepare and complete regular reporting activities to support performance visibility and decision-making.
- Improves SAP Master Data to embed Standard Work Packages into Task Lists.
- Provides technical and system support to develop the broader team.
About You
- Trade or Engineering background (desirable).
- Planning or scheduling experience in Wash Plants and or Processing Plants is preferable.
- Experience and exposure to SAP and Microsoft applications is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work productively in a team environment while also operating autonomously.
- Strong customer focus with a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
