About The Role

Planning Specialist, Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Productivity RSM, you will:

  • Support the Planning team with maintenance plans, schedules, and packages for maintenance activities on all rollingstock assets, including detailed work scopes, material identification, work packages, work schedules and estimated cost of work
  • Ensure appropriate allocation and availability of material and equipment resources to achieve planned outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and legislative provisions
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing planning process changes
  • Deliver projects identified by the execution and Engineering team
  • Manage contractors using the CMS process to complete project and planned maintenance tasks
  • Prioritize work with the Execution Supervisors, Superintendents and external departments and suppliers, utilising your considerable stakeholder and relationship building skills.

  • Experience with SAP and maintenance planning, rail industry preferred
  • People focused and the capability to build strong working relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps)
  • Experience in data and trend analysis to support the delivery of business improvement initiatives is desirable
  • Ability to work in a high-pace role, managing multiple deliverables and stakeholders whilst maintaining autonomy and self-motivation
