About the Role
The purpose of this role is to support Project Control & Analysis team in the provision of project services (planning and scheduling, changes, progress and forecasting) to influence the on-time and on-budget delivery of project objectives. Reporting to the Lead Project Controls & Analysis, your accountabilities include:
- Develops integrated project schedules, identifies critical activities, monitors the project plan/schedule and drives continuous improvement initiatives across projects at BHP.
- Monitors and manages project performance to assist with delivery of projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope.
- Develops, predicts/forecasts and benchmarks project schedules in line with industry standards, principles and practices.
- Challenges and analyses contractor schedules prior to and following baseline to ensure quality outputs are delivered to BHP.
- Understands and knows how to apply earned value management principles.
- Uses, stores, classifies, assesses and processes data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance.
- Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
- Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.
- Designs and implements governance/assurance practices and change management procedures to control value outcomes across BHP.
- Identifies, implements and evaluates the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes.
- Applies and evaluates change management tools, methods, data, purpose, value and strategic direction.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in Project planning & scheduling preferably within the resource sector.
- Strong technical planning & scheduling knowledge from client environment is highly desirable.
- Good working knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 is essential.
- Engineering, Project Management or AACEi qualifications desirable.
- Experience with Power BI will be advantageous, while strong MS Excel skill is desirable.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with various level of stakeholders.
Location and Roster
In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster while flexible work is also offered.
