About the role
In this newly created role, we are seeking a Specialist Platforms Strategy to join the BHP Technology Strategy, Portfolio & Performance (SPP) team. Reporting to the Manager Enterprise & Platform Strategy, this role will provide input and support the vision for enterprise platforms, to scale digital productivity across BHP globally. This individual will own platform components and drive their transformation roadmaps to guide their continual evolution in alignment with other strategic digital priorities including security, data, and software.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Understand BHP's global business operating model to document specific scope components of enterprise platforms including ERP, service management, identity, cloud and data, and their respective opportunities to enable digital productivity at scale
- Support collaboration with identified internal subject matter experts for specific platform components to incorporate and address current state priorities and challenges
- Support the engagement of targeted external thought leaders and strategic vendors to consider industry trends and product roadmaps and incorporate into BHP’s enterprise platform strategy as appropriate
- Assist with the definition of the high-level reference target-state architecture for enterprise platforms components across BHP globally
- Collaborate with SPP team members and its respective data strategy, software, cloud and emerging digital technologies team members, to coordinate, prioritise and align platform maturity and transformation milestones
- Support the engagements with BHP Commercial’s procurement team to co-develop vendor engagement strategies and priorities in alignment to the defined target-state
The role can be based at our Perth or Brisbane office.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Experience working with technical reference architectures at the enterprise business level
- Technical advisory experience especially targeted to technical teams
- Deep curiosity on how evolving digital trends can create scaled business impact
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or Technology/IT
