About the Role
This position is based at Olympic Dam with FIFO, DIDO or residential options available. These benefits include flexible working options. Roster: 5/2- 4/3
Reporting to the Lead Process Control Engineer, the purpose of this role is to provide process control support for both Surface and Mine Operations at Olympic Dam. The process control team support production facing improvement and stability activities to concentrate efforts in achieving process control excellence.
In this role you will:
- Investigating, analysing, scoping and implementing changes to control systems configuration (Rockwell PLCs and Citect SCADA)
- Design and develop changes to control systems including testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems to ensure optimal process and equipment control.
- Exhibit personal drive and delivery towards achieving safety, inclusiveness and productivity goals.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to standards within Olympic Dam control systems.
- Establish positive working relationships with operations and support functions.
- Ensure operational technology enables successful delivery of both the Mine and Surface Operations Plan
About You
- Proven track record of technical capability in process control
- Experience with Rockwell PLCs and Citect SCADA is highly desirable.
- Ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines will be second to none.
- Ability to adapt to change and remain calm under changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, lead change and delivery of outcomes.
- Proven experience co-ordinating or implementing improvements to plant process control .
- Experience in operational technology, process control and/or have a control systems or metallurgical or instrumentation background.
- Strong communication and leading problem solving are critical to this role.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration with Production, Technical, Metallurgical and Process Safety personnel will be required to maximise performance.
