We currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialists to work closely with our Winu Project team to determine goods/services requirements, then collaborate with the Global and Regional categories team to ensure alignment of category strategies and business priorities. The Procurement Specialist will have a business partnering responsibility whereby they will be the first point of contact for the operation and facilitate control point interactions with the wider procurement team. It is estimated that you will be required to travel to site once a month for approximately 4 days.
This role is a great opportunity for someone with a partnership mindset and an appetite to add value by collaborating closely with stakeholders to optimise the path forward in terms of supply for our Assets.
Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner – East Pilbara, you will:
- Drive ‘safety’ into the contract and procurement processes
- Align the Asset priorities with the Global and Regional category sourcing strategies
- Contribute to the commercial strategies by considering site requirements, local procurement and emerging market opportunities, total cost of ownership, P2P integration and security of medium to long term supply
- Support the Asset and category teams to deliver maximum value to the Asset
- Manage key suppliers’ operational performance reviews
- Identify and monitor procurement initiatives and support the mitigation of any impact to the Asset
- Solve for site specific requirements while balancing the contribution to broader strategies and leverage opportunities; and
- Drive stakeholder compliance in the procurement process
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree/post graduate qualification in Commerce, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent
- Demonstrated procurement/sourcing/contract management experience
- Excellent communication skills to influence, engage and build strong rapport with key stakeholders
- Effective time management skills, the ability to balance multiple and competing priorities
- Creative problem solving skills with strong strategic outlook and analytical capabilities; and,
- Strong commercial acumen coupled with the ability to formulate and present contracts and category strategies
