Specialist Project Engineer – Asset Management & Engineering
Work Location:
Fortescue’s East Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster:
Monday to Friday. Occasional site travel required.
The Specialist Project Engineer role will support the Project Manager as a lead for various cross-functional projects across Fortescue.
Key responsibilities include:
Amongst role responsibilities, the following can be highlighted:
- Proactively look for improvement opportunities
- Lead implementation of projects
- Engage with stakeholders across the business at different levels to correctly scope project requirements and outputs
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training to sustainably embed projects
- Manage technical communications
- Occasionally manage onboarded contractors/consultants
Qualifications and Experience:
- >5 years in engineering or project management/execution role
- >3 years site based operational experience in mining industry
- Tertiary degree, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
- Strong understanding of Work Management processes
- Knowledge of EAM Software (SAP)
- Problem Solving
- Analytical Skills
- Strong people engagement skills
- Excellent time management to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organisation with frontline management
