Specialist Project Engineer – Asset Management & Engineering

Work Location:

Fortescue’s East Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster:

Monday to Friday. Occasional site travel required.

The Specialist Project Engineer role will support the Project Manager as a lead for various cross-functional projects across Fortescue.

Key responsibilities include:

Amongst role responsibilities, the following can be highlighted:

• Proactively look for improvement opportunities
• Lead implementation of projects
• Engage with stakeholders across the business at different levels to correctly scope project requirements and outputs
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training to sustainably embed projects
• Manage technical communications
• Occasionally manage onboarded contractors/consultants

Qualifications and Experience:

• >5 years in engineering or project management/execution role
• >3 years site based operational experience in mining industry
• Tertiary degree, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
• Strong understanding of Work Management processes
• Knowledge of EAM Software (SAP)
• Problem Solving
• Analytical Skills
• Strong people engagement skills
• Excellent time management to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills
• Ability to influence across all levels of the organisation with frontline management
