About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Training Development & Delivery, this role will play a critical part in delivering Copper SA Training's strategic In-Field Assessment (IFA) initiative. The Specialist will work closely with the Principal IFA and stakeholders across the business to transition competency assessments from paper-based processes into the IFA platform, ensuring a consistent, scalable and compliant approach to workforce competency management.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining assessment frameworks, supporting system implementation activities, driving stakeholder adoption and ensuring the integrity of competency and assessment data. Working within a fast-paced project environment, you will contribute to the successful rollout of IFA across Copper SA while supporting business readiness, governance and continuous improvement activities.
This role will be based at our Adelaide office with occasional site travel required. This role will be on Monday to Friday roster.
In this role you will:
- Support the implementation and rollout of the In-Field Assessment (IFA) platform across Copper SA operations.
- Configure and maintain assessment frameworks, workflows, user profiles, prerequisites and system settings within the IFA platform.
- Transition existing competency assessments from paper-based processes into digital assessment solutions.
- Develop, review and maintain competency assessments and assessment frameworks to support operational requirements and compliance obligations.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and governance of competency, assessment and training data within the system.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system, process and user-related issues, escalating where required.
- Support business readiness activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training and user adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, subject matter experts and training teams to ensure assessment frameworks align with operational requirements.
- Monitor project deliverables and contribute to implementation milestones, ensuring outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and optimisation of competency management practices across the business.
- Provide reporting, insights and recommendations to support effective governance and decision-making.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent experience in competency-based training and assessment.
- Demonstrated experience configuring and administering digital learning, assessment, competency management or workforce capability platforms.
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining competency assessments and assessment frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex system and process issues.
- Proven experience supporting system implementations, business change initiatives and user adoption programs.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with experience working across operational and corporate environments.
- Experience managing data quality, governance and compliance requirements within learning or competency management systems.
- Project management qualifications or demonstrated project delivery experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience within mining, resources, heavy industry or operational environments is advantageous.
