About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Project Manager to lead and deliver business critical projects relating to Mine Water Management. This role will focus on rapid delivery of projects relating to a class iv risk relating to maintaining Weeli Wolli springs.
This role is a great opportunity for those seeking a challenging work environment where you will work closely with multiple site based, Perth based and external vendors including Environmental team, MWM (Mine Water Management) team, WRE team, external and internal subject matter experts.
Reporting to the Superintendent MWM and working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will;
- Leading capital and operations funded projects to deliver business requirement
- Work with long term plans and ensure assets are capable of delivering their required function.
- Manage multiple projects, setting expectations and delivering as per expectations.
- Ensuring all Rio Tinto Health and Safety Standards, policies, procedures and specifications are being adhered to
- first and that the correct work is completed on time & budget
- Ensuring effective communication between all teams and support staff and communicating business/department priorities to the team in a timely manner
About you
- Proactive approach with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture and environment
- A passionate project manager who enjoys achieving results.
- A desire to engage and built relationships with other teams and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability in meeting targets and delivering small projects (generally <$2M)
- An understanding of pipelines, fluid flow, dewatering, reliability concepts (RCM\FMEA, Block modelling etc) will all be desirable
- Ability to communicate through all levels of the business.
- A current valid driver's license
- Relevant qualification and experience - Qualified Engineer is desirable, but not mandatory.
