About the Role
We are currently seeking a Specialist Project Studies to join the WA Major Projects Studies Group. The Specialist Project Studies role brings a unique opportunity to combine high level technical knowledge with project management and stakeholder engagement skills, all under the guidance and support of the Study Lead and Manager. Specifically in this capacity, in addition to your excellent Process or Chemical engineering knowledge, this role will require critical thinking, problem solving, effective communication, negotiation and conflict management, organisation and workload prioritisation. To meet the technical and project management requirements of the role we are looking for someone with:
- Degree qualified in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in a smelting environment would be highly regarded
- Technical and site based experience (essential)
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication and organization (essential)
- Some level of Project Management experience. A qualification in project management would be highly regarded
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Stakeholder engagement and management experience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
