About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for highly motivated people to join our WA Asset Projects Studies Group in a Specialist Studies role.

Working in a proactive and supportive team, you will have the chance to promote business excellence using your skills in the areas of problem solving, technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement and value optimisation.

Reporting to a Study Lead in the Port, Rail, Power and Closure Portfolio, you will support the development of projects through Identification, Selection and Definition investment phases. You will make a significant contribution to defining project safety, scope, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.

Other key accountabilities will include:

  • Support the development of assigned studies in accordance with Our Requirements and the Minerals Australia Projects Internal Standard;
  • Support the integration of the many people who will contribute to the assigned studies under the functional model;
  • Identify and support the delivery of value optimisation initiatives;
  • Support the identification and management of project risks throughout the study phases.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in working within dynamic environments, you will be an effective problem solver and influencer, able to clearly communicate business benefits, risks, and project dependencies.

You will have divergent and convergent thinking skills and an understanding of business value. You will have experience working in projects, business development, investment evaluation, or another strategic role.

You will be degree qualified in engineering, science, business or similar. Postgraduate studies in business/finance or project management will be viewed favourably but are not essential.
